A man suffering from bi-polar disease was shot to death at his home in Raymondville by Willacy County Sheriff's Department deputies after the man went on a rampage and family members called for help. But family members say deputies should not have shot at 40-year-old Roy Almanza at lest four times in the torso to stop the man's rage. However, authotities say the man was had a bat and what looked like a real weapon in his hand and was ready to shoot. Later, authorities discovered the weapon the man was holding was a BB gun. The Texas Rangers are investigating the case.
