MISSION, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Hidalgo County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a home invasion that happened early this morning.
Officials say three Hispanic men armed with at least one rifle forced their way into an apartment in the 2300 block of Ashley Avenue in Mission.
The suspects allegedly made the victim--a 23-year-old woman--lay on the ground while they stole items from her home. The victim was not harmed.
Deputies say they discovered a black Chevy truck that had its lights off in an attempt to hide from authorities. The driver was arrested and is being interrogated.
The investigation is ongoing as officials work to identify all suspects involved.
At this time, no charges have been made on the suspect in custody.
