BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — It's an old tradition in my family to leave out your shoes at the front door so that the three wise men could leave us all kinds of delicious candy!
My parents have always told us that Santa Clause isn't always able to bring everyone toys, he splits the job up into two days.
On Dec 24, Santa goes around through half of the world giving good boys and girls toys, and leaves candy for the other half.
On Jan 6, the three wise men are in charge of the rest of the world giving out presents, while giving candy for those who recieved toys from santa.
And although santa had a tiny bit more luck with the weather this year, it looks like the three wise men are in for a tough journey this Monday.
Think lows in the -20s Fahrenheit across North Dakota and Minnesota, with wind chills of -50 or even more frigid, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday night in Chicago will be a brisk minus 16 to 20, or 35 below to 45 below zero if you factor in the Windy City's wind.
Those at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers NFL game may cheer against overtime, given that the wind chill may dip to 50 below in Wisconsin that night.
As the weather service's Twin Cities, Minnesota, division warns, "Exposed flesh can freeze in as little as five minutes with wind chills colder than 50 below."
So the three wise men are going to have to really prepare once they travel through the U.S.
They will won't have any trouble coming to Brownsvill, or the Valley, they may need to pack an umberlla and rain boots, but that's about it.
