HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Police arrested a Harlingen man for criminal trespassing after he crawled through a window and was confronted by the homeowner.
On Saturday, December 28th at around 5 a.m. police were called to the 4200 block of Wilson Road in reference to an unwanted person at the location.
The homeowner informed officers that an unknown man, later identified as Elio Alberto Vasquez-Vargas, 22, had entered his residence through a unsecured window without his consent.
He confronted Vargas, who fled the scene and then returned back to the residence while the officer was still at the location.
Vargas claimed he received a text from a 15 year-old girl inviting him over. The officer located the text message on Vargas cell phone which also contained a photo of the girl posing in her underwear.
Vargas was arrested and charged with criminal trespass of a habitation and handed a $3,000 bond.
