Cameras on McAllen streets will watch your every move after the city and police department install software to help fight crime.
In a press conference at the police department, McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez explained how the cameras would be used to help police solve crimes. The cameras would be used for evidence development in identifying possible perpetrators.
The city has installed a Wi-Fi network features a wireless infrastructure to support cameras to collect video data at the Municipal Park, Bicentennial Hike and Bike trail and downtown McAllen.
