RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — The University of Texas Board of Regents has named the new university that combined UTPA in Edinburg and UTB in Brownsville. The new school will be named University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The Regents moved this morning to adopt the name after a month-long comment period on several names.
