MCALLEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — With four days left until many shops open their doors on Thanksgiving, at some stores the lines are already starting.
People are already pitching tents outside the Best Buy in McAllen off Expy 83. Some people arrived as early as yesterday morning hoping to be among the first to get the best deals the store is offering.
Brandon Carballo is participating in his third year of camping outside of Best Buy in anticipation of Black Friday--except this year, many stores are now going to be open on Thanksgiving night.
"This year the 39" is going to be $170, so basically if you want to get a TV or something you have to be here because I think they only give out 40 tickets and that's it," said Carballo.
The Best Buy store off South Jackson in McAllen has barriers wrapped around the side of the building in anticipation of more shoppers camping out as it gets closer to Thursday.
