Rio Grande Valley, TX — A strong cold front will move through the region late this afternoon producing scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms.
In the wake of this front strong North winds will build over the region resulting in a drastic drop in temperatures.
Cold temperatures with very low wind chills are expected starting Friday night and continuing through at least Monday.
A presistent drizzle will occasional moderate rain is expected at times through Saturday and Sunday.
This combination of cold temperatures, strong North winds and cloud cover will make the temperatures feel like the 30's especially during the overnight hours.
