Residents of Illinois towns hardest hit by Sunday's deadly tornados assess the damage. Jay Gray reports.
(NBC News) Two days after a string of deadly tornados ripped through the Midwest, many families are just getting back to their battered neighborhoods and beginning the long, difficult cleanup and recovery.
The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-4 tornado with winds close to 200 miles an hour was among the nearly 60 tornados that hit on Sunday.
That storm struck Washington, Illinois, one of the hardest hit towns.
In all least eight people were killed, and hundreds of homes were destroyed.
