Gregg Anderson arrives in Seattle after surviving the deadly storm that ravaged the Philippines. John Langeler reports.
(KING) Gregg Anderson turned 50 years old Wednesday, and no gift was as sweet as his return from a birthday trip to the Philippines.
Anderson and his friend ended up face-to-face with one of the worst typhoons in history, surviving by crouching inside their oceanfront resort home underneath a staircase.
"It was a beast," Anderson described as he was greeted by friends and family at SeaTac International Airport. "This thing had this thumping sound. It was like a washing machine."
