BROWNSVILLE, TX — The 24th annual Boo at the Zoo at the Gladys Porter Zoo is creeping around the corner. This year’s spook-stravaganza begins Wednesday, Oct. 30 and ends on Halloween night, Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. both nights. Zoo members get in for free early at 5 p.m.
Boo at the Zoo is a family-friendly, fun alternative to trick or treating on the streets. Families are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy all the fun things the zoo has to offer. Boo at the Zoo features more than 70 games and treats stations throughout the zoo and a spooky 5,184 sq. ft. custom-built haunted house located in our special events center.
Tickets are on sale now at the Gladys Porter Zoo office for $3.50 per person. Parking is limited so get to the Zoo early, car pool or have someone drop you off so you can enjoy the festivities without delay.
Remember, Zoo Membership has its privileges! Zoo members not only get free admission to Boo at the Zoo, but they also get in before everyone else. Members will get to enter Boo at the Zoo at 5 p.m. through the side exit gate located in the Zoo parking lot. Members can pick up their free tickets from now until Oct. 29 at the Gladys Porter Zoo office.
Members will need to show proof of their membership to receive their tickets by bringing their membership cards and a valid driver’s license. If membership cards were lost or stolen, please contact the Zoo office at (956) 546-7187 ext. 310 to purchase replacement cards.
