Ohio women helps sister with quadruplets by carrying and delivering two of the four babies. Ellie Merritt reports.
(WCMH) A Lewis Center couple welcomed their children into the world last week - and it's a miraculous story for the family.
Charlie, Tommy, Grace, and Hadley are the Johnston quadruplets. They were born Thursday at Riverside Methodist Hospital, but their arrival wasn't easy.
Parents Annie and Joby Johnston faced the heartbreak of infertility for five years.
"I just never got pregnant, not even a positive pregnancy test the whole time," Annie said.
Just when they were about to give up, Annie's sister, Chrissy, stepped in to be the surrogate.
Doctors implanted embryos in Chrissy and Annie.
"Then we decided to try me one more time. Amazingly, both of us got pregnant," annie said.
Not only were both sisters pregnant - but they both carried twins.
