Court rules portions of new Texas abortion law is unconstitutional; appeal expected. Lindsay Bramson reports.
(KXAN) The fight over abortion limits will carry on despite a decision ruling some Texas abortion restrictions unconstitutional.
Judge Lee Yeakel threw out a part of the law that says abortion doctors must have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the clinic. He allowed the state to regulate how an abortion-inducing drug is used, except in cases where the doctor believes off-label use is called for.
When the law was being debated, crowds of people in support and opposition of the law voiced their opinion in Austin.
