BROWNSVILLE, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A woman is charged with attempting to steal thousands of dollars of merchandise from a Brownsville Kohl's department store.
Police say Nadya Crystal Cerda, 30, had a strategic plan when it came to shoplifting items at the Kohl's store.
Detectives say Cerda grabbed over $4,000 dollars in merchandise and placed the items outside the store through a fire exit door and then driving around the building and picking up the items.
Police recovered over hundred items and she has been charged with theft.
