DONNA, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Hidalgo County Sheriff Department deputies are investigating the shooting deaths of two individuals accused of pulling out their weapons on a homeowner.
On Sunday, October 27th around 7 p.m. deputies were called to a residence at the intersection of Mariposa Street and Sioux Road, north of Donna, in regards to a shooting.
When deputies arrived they found the bodies of two men, one shot several times in the torso and the second with gunshots to the head, and questioned the homeowner about the incident.
The homeowner told deputies that both men had driven up to his residence, asked about purchasing some roosters and then both victims pulling out wapons causing the homeowner to retrieve his own weapon and shooting both men.
Deputies continue to investigate the incident and have not identified the bodies until all next of kin are notified.
