BROWNSVILLE, TX ( NEWS CENTER 23) — The Brownsville Historic Museum is celebrating Dia De Los Muertos with a special altar.
The Brownsville Historic Museum and the Mexican consulate in Brownsville have teamed up to create this alter for Dia De Los Muertos.
The alter at the Brownsville historic museum was created by the Mexican consul in Brownsville's wife Patricia Tapia De Quilantan
This alter is in honer of Jose Posada.
"he was the originally creator of the images of the catrina he passed away in 1913 so this is the 100 year celebration so this is why we are celebrating the alter to him."
The alter will be on display at the Historic Museum for the entire month of November.
