BROWNSVILLE, TX ( NEWS CENTER 23) — A popular hip hop artist gave the kids at Stillman middle school in Brownsville a special treat.
Rapper Alfabeto who is a Rivera High school graduate sand to the kids.
As part of red ribbon week he talked to the students about just saying no to drugs.
"Pretty much following their dreams and staying drug free and the education is the most important, i am a nurse so i am sure they can relate to me as far as education, now that i am pursuing my dream, i love poetry i have also wanted to be an entertainer i wish i had someone to say you can do it, i listen to parents, so that's what i am here for right now."
Border patrol and the Cameron county sheriff's department also participated in the red ribbon week.
