WEST, TX — In West, Texas, a first responder at the massive fertilizer plant explosion last April... pleaded guilty today (Thursday) after being accused of having materials to make a pipe bomb.
According to his lawyer, Bryce Reed pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess a destructive device and attempted obstruction of justice.
Besides being a first responder, Reed also spoke at a memorial for victims.
The blast killed 15 people -- Most of the m firefighters and paramedics.
In a statement, Reed's lawyers stressed that neither the charge nor his plea agreement had anything to do with the tragic explosion
