Government shutdown delays experimental treatment for Nevada teen suffering from rare genetic disorder. Terri Hendry reports.
(KRNV) 17-year-old Austin Trowbridge suffers from a rare genetic disorder which the NIH was trying to treat through a bone marrow transplant; due to the government shutdown, his treatment has been delayed until the government re-opens.
The same disorder is responsible for the death of his 15-year-old brother, Eric, five years ago.
