WESLACO, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Weslaco is now waiting even longer for clean water.
A water main break on Tuesday meant Weslaco residents must boil tap water before using it. The original time for things to return to normal was two days. City officials now say it'll take until Friday before the water is safe to drink.
On Wednesday the water was shut off for a portion of Weslaco. Students at North Bridge Elementary were given bottled water for the day.
