AUSTIN, TX (DPS) — The reward for Charles Leon Carr, 56, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, has increased to up to $13,000 for information leading to his capture if the tip comes in during the month of October. In 1975, he was sentenced to 99 years in prison for the violent sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl in Abilene. He was released from prison in 2008 and disappeared in 2009. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.
Carr’s last known residence was in Austin, and he has ties to El Paso. He could be working in air conditioning repair, refrigerator repair, machine operation, data entry or as a laborer. His criminal history includes sexual assault of a child, transportation of unlawful aliens and theft. He is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for probation violation and by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for parole violation.
Carr is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. His tattoos include a skull on his outside upper right arm and skull/dagger/roses on his outside upper left arm. He also has an operation scar on the inside of his right knee and a cut scar inside his right hand.
