BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — At the Maximus call center in Brownsville it's business as usual.
The center was brought to the Valley to prepare residents for the switch to Obamacare and inform them of their options.
The center was not affected by the government shutdown, on the first day of the Affordable Care Act enrollment, operators were working to assist callers with the new federal health insurance plans.
There are about 1,800 call centers across the nation.
