HIDALGO, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — A group of energetic young adults in the upper Valley were buzzing with excitement after getting the chance to hang out with the RGV Killer Bees hockey team this afternoon.
The Killer Bees welcomed members of C.A.M.P. University, a non-profit organization that offers a variety of programs to special needs high school graduates.
The visitors had a meet-and-greet with the team, got a tour of the locker room and played interactive games with some of the players.
"It's always rewarding to hang out with the kids, they really enjoy it and it puts a smile on their face," said Nate Flynn, right wing for the Killer Bees. "And that's the biggest thing for us I think that really makes it a good day."
The RGV Killer Bees face a weekend series at home against Wichita Falls at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo.
