Priest stops wedding to tell photographer to back off.
Talk about awkward.
Cameras captured the moment when a priest stopped a wedding to tell the photographer to back off.
It was the beginning to a beautiful wedding, Rob and Noelle were in the middle of their vows, when suddenly.
The priest says, "Sir, would you please leave?"
The photographer responds, "Where do you want me to be?"
"Anywhere other than here," replies the priest.
But it doesn't end there.
The priest continues to say,"This is a solemn assembly. This is not a photography session. Please move or I will stop."
The photographers ask, "You want me to leave?"
"I will stop the ceremony if you do not get out of the way," says the priest.
The expressions on their faces say it all.
Bride Noelle Ruehle says, "I really wasn't upset. I was just really more appalled and kind of shocked."
Groom Rob Ruehle says,"I think my biggest fear was that we'd have to step in and say something"
The photographers move. The ceremony continues but, talk about an awkward moment.
"We had a lot of reactions afterwards and it kind of made for laughter but it kind of was the damper on the day also," says Noelle.
Rob says, "The priest tried to justify the situation and apologize as best that he could; but, I think that at that point the damage was already done."
Noelle's brother posted the awkward moment online the newlyweds left on their honeymoon and woke up internet sensations garnering over 250,000 views.
Rob says, "If nothing else we can look back and say hey we had a one of a kind wedding, even though it may not be the way we thought it would go."
At least they can laugh about it now.
"The first thing everyone said, 'Hey how about that priest, he was great huh?'...It just turned out to make a really funny video which we hope everyone enjoys just as much as we do."
It's certainly a moment Rob and Noelle will never forget.
"This is not about the photography; this is about God."
CNN reached out to the priest and church for a statement regarding the video, but did not get a response.
