Katy, TX — A family night out is busted, when a deputy arrives. It happened half way through dinner at an Applebees in the town of Katy, Texas. The couple and their two young boys were kicked out of that restaurant and given a warning by a deputy, Rucks Russell has more.
Eli Gau admits his two boys are well, a handful at times, "They're kind of active. They act like children. They're not adults."
They are 1 year-old Ethan and 3 year-old Ryan, the boys and their parents came to this Applebee's for dinner Sunday night
Eli Gau, "It was about 9, 9:15. We take the menu, as usual, we pick what we want to order."
He says everything seemed fine until his oldest boy began wandering away from the table, "I went and grabbed him. As I was grabbing him and coming back, the manager was walking to me.. straight forward to me."
He said the manager told him that the children were making too much noise, then called the authorities and told the entire family to leave. When they came outside, they were confronted by a Harris County Sheriff's deputy and he gave them a written notice, warning them for criminal trespassing.
Eli Gau, "Because of my children? This is going deeper than that.
Lilian Maliti, Mother, "I feel disrespect, because this has never happened in my life."
We reached out to Applebee's corporate office, a spokespersons profusely apologized for what happened and said the management team had mishandled the situation, Applebee's bills itself as a family friendly establishment.
