Houston, TX — A former Houston 3rd grade teacher was sentenced to prison for possessing child pornography.
Juan Antonio Villarreal, 53, of Houston was sentenced to federal prison for 20 years after he pleaded guilty, on February 19th, to distribution and possession of child pornography.
The investigation began after a Beaumont police officer downloaded child porn pictures which were traced back to Villarreal's computer.
On August 31, 2012 Homeland Security investigators executed a federal search warrant at Villarreal's home and found thousand of images and videos of child pornography on a thumb drive and computer.
Villarreal admitted he had received, viewed and downloaded child porn for nearly five years and even had a female relative take nude pictures of herself and then sending them to him which he then distributed onto the Internet.
This investigation was part of Operation Predator, a nationwide HSI initiative to protect children from sexual predators, including those who travel overseas for sex with minors, Internet child pornographers, criminal alien sex offenders and child sex traffickers
