Houston woman claims she was booted from bar for being Cowboys fan.
A woman says she was kicked out of a Houston bar because she's a Dallas Cowboys fan.
But the bar's general manager says the incident has nothing to do with sports.
Gail laughs as she exlaims, "I'm sure if you stay out here long enough you'll get somebody because it's about that time!"
With a car decorated like this and a wardrobe full of Cowboys gear, Gail White knows she's bound to draw attention, and she welcomes friendly rivalry.
"All Cowboy fans are not horrible, just like all Texan fans are not horrible," explains White.
She's acknowledges that not everyone sees it that way.
But says she's never experienced anything like what she says happened inside Coaches Sports Bar and Grill.
From the background you hear, "Dallas sucks!"
White says,"Well, you hear in the background, 'Dallas sucks!' And all that coming out of the same bar that we're being treated like this. So you just heard that."
White claims a bartender at the 290 and Jones location gave her and a friend the cold shoulder when she complained about a drink. She's convinced it's because she's a Cowboys fan.
"As I got my purse and she got her stuff to leave, she threw something on the counter and said, 'Damn Dallas Cowboys fans'," explains White.
She asked to speak with the general manager who she claims didn't want to hear it.
White says,"She blew up at me. 'What the hell is your attitude problem? What the hell is wrong with you? What's going on here? Damn Dallas fans.'"
Her friend Diana Acosta says "And my friend, she doesn't cry and she was in tears when we walked out of that place, she was so upset."
When we went to talk with the general manager she told a much different story, claiming that White came into the bar on a mission to start trouble.
A written statement says in part: "The events that transpired in our establishment today had absolutely nothing to do with being a Cowboys fan or any other fan. The accusations made today by these women are absolutely inaccurate."
The bar now advertising on their Facebook page that anyone who comes in wearing Cowboys gear will get their first beer for free for the rest of the night.
