RIO GRANDE CITY, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Custom officers working the at the Rio Grande City port of entry seized close to half million dollars in cocaine.
On Wednesday, August 21st officer working at the Rio Grande City/Camargo port of entry came into contact with 24 year-old male driving a red 2007 Dodge Caliber.
The man was referred to a secondary inspection where Custom officers searched and found six packages, weighing over 14 lbs., of alleged cocaine inside a speaker box.
The seizure was estimated at $475,000 the driver was arrested and handed over to Homeland Security investigators for further questioning.
