BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — An alleged drunk driver accused in the deaths of five peopole pleaded not guilty in a Cameron County courtroom on Thursday.
Margaret Gil, 32, of McAllen has been charged with five counts of intoxication manslaughter.
In June, authorities say Gil was driving along Texas 100, east of Los Fresnos, when she crossed into oncoming traffic hitting a Toyota Corolla and killing four people.
The passenger in her car also died in the crash and toxicology reports show Gil was more than twice the legal limit, her trial is set for November 12th.
