New York, NY — Imagine looking out of your window one morning and seeing your neighbors taking a shower. That's exactly what could happen in Brooklyn, New York after one couple built their bath in a way that leaves little to the imagination, Steve Langford has the story.
Beyond the exposed brick walls of these beautiful cobble hill homes, one newly renovated townhouse featuring a very exposed glass shower.
"So people would be able to see in?"
The view from the back of the townhouse shows a huge glass enclosed shower area overlooking the backyard, the apparent absence of curtains of great interest to neighbors who have a full frontal view of this home improvement.
"My name is Steve Langford I work at Channel 2, I'm sorry to bother you.", the owner hanging up quickly.
He open door policy here clearly not extending to the media.
Steve Langford, "Neighbors here say there was plenty of discussion when the owners here wanted to build an extension on their home in the back. But few remember hearing anything about an exposed glass shower."
Some locals, at least those willing to talk, seem shocked by the shower show.
Hasan Farraj, "I don't think it's appropriate, especially in a neighborhood where a lot of kids go to school just down the block."
Margot Stein, Cobble Hill Resident, "I feel bad for the neighbors, I think, just because depending on who lives there you know."
Shariq Siddiqui, "I certainly wouldn't mind having a look, depends on who's taking a shower."
