HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Three teens were arrested after robbing a convenience store of cash, a lottery ticket and a 24 ounce can of beer.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 20th a Harlingen police officer, patrolling in the 1200 block of N. Business 77, spotted several men running from a Stripes store into a truck with one of them carrying a shotgun.
Officers pursued the vehicle to the intersection of Business 77 and Bass Blvd. where the truck crashed and the suspects then fled on foot.
All three men, identified as Osbaldo Enriquez Reyes, 17, Omar Manuel Hernandez, 17, and Ismael Juarez Velasquez, 19, were arrested, officers did recover a shotgun, stolen can of beer and $30 in cash from inside the truck.
Reyes, Hernandez and Velasquez are charged with aggravated robbery with Reyes being additional charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Police are searching for a fourth suspect, who jumped out of the truck during the pursuit, and investigators are attempting to identify that person.
