McAllen, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Kids in the Valley, who are battling cancer, got a little bit of hope on Tuesday.
Vannie E. Cook Jr. Children's Cancer Clinic received a $75,000 dollar Hyundai Scholar grant for pediatric cancer research.
Rio Grande Valley Hyundai dealers presented the check in a ceremony. Young cancer patients placed their hand prints on a Hyundai "Hope on Wheels" vehicle.
The funds benefits hospitals across the Valley and will be used to educate nurses in pediatric oncology treatment.
