UNITED STATES — We have an update about the stomach bug that's affected hundreds of people across the U.S., including more than 200 here in Texas.
Health officials in Iowa and Nebraska say a prepackaged salad mix is the source of the cyclospora outbreak in their states.
Nebraska officials said the salad mix included iceberg and romaine lettuce, along with red cabbage and carrots, and came through national distribution chains.
They are still trying to identify the specific brand or brands.
Cyclospora is a rare parasite that causes a gastrointestinal illness that could last up to two months.
