Beaverton, OR — A teenager battles with police in Beaverton, Oregon and it's all caught on camera. Officials say the teen was hallucinating and was out of control, Reggie Aqui has the story.
A bullet hole in Beaverton City Hall, now we can see exactly how it got there. Watch as 18 year-old Jared Leone goes from panic to punch, swinging at a Beaverton officer.
Sgt. Jim Shumway, Beaverton, OR Police, "Strikes him in the head and all three of the officers try to grab him."
The camera in the lobby would eventually catch Jared Leone taking a Sergeant's gun from his holster, but first, the surprising place where this all started.
Sgt. Jim Shumway, Beaverton, OR Police, "He and some male friends took some mushrooms, they went to the zoo."
Eventually, police say Jared Leone ended up in their lobby in a hallucinating panic because he thought he saw a terrorist plot unfolding on the max. He imagined, police say, someone planted a bomb on the train. It all led to this, the video shows the moment Leone grabs Sgt. Robert Davis' gun.
You don't see this on camera, but Leone fires once into the wall, no one was hurt, including Leone. No matter what technique police used, they couldn't seem to hurt him.
Sgt. Jim Shumway, "During this struggle he was tased 7 times and it didn't have an effect on him."
At one point, officers couldn't even keep metal handcuffs on him.
Sgt. Jim Shumway, "If you don't feel pain and you are experiencing almost super human strength because of what you are on, he somehow broke them."
