CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — .A shrimp boat captain has been arrested for intoxication after failing a sobriety test by Coast Guard officers near the Brownsville Ship Channel entrance.
On Monday, July 15th the Coast Guard assisted the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in boarding shrimp boat named Adriana when TPWD agents found fake documents, including birth certificate and permanent resident card for the captain of the boat.
The captain was given a Breath Alcohol Content analyzer test and a field sobriety test, after he showed signs of intoxication, and failed both.
He registered a .17 BAC, which is four times the legal limit, and he was then transferred to the Cameron County Sheriff's Department.
