AUSTIN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Since leading a filibuster against the Senate abortion bill, that put her into the national spotlight, State Senator Wendy Davis, has continued to push against the bill that's making its way rapidly through the Legislature, she spoke on NBC News about rumors of her being eyed for next year's Governor's race.
"It's a compliment, obviously, for people to be talking about me in a statewide race and I am thinking about it of course. I have my hands so full right now with what we're doing on this bill. I hope to make a decision on that in the not too distant future."
On the Republican side of the aisle, as you may know, Governor Perry announced Monday that he would not run for re-election.
