BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — On the birthday of our nation, two men decided to travel across the state to honor two of our fallen heroes.
Robert Hernandez and Waymon Faulkner, both who are Vietnam veterans, traveled to Brownsville Sports Park to honor soldiers from Texas who were killed in action in Afghanistan.
Robert Hernandez stated about the memorial display saying, "It's a beautiful wall and I think everyone should take some time to come and see them especially on the Fourth of July remember your fallen soldiers, take a moment to say a prayer from them."
There are a total of 598 men on the wall.
