HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies are investigating a shooting involving an injured man and eight individuals in Alamo.
On Tuesday, July 2, a shooting was reported at 1114 Whitewing Drive at approximately 11 p.m.
Deputies arrived and found a pool of blood, spent AK-47 casings and eight people claiming they saw and heard nothing.
At 11:39 p.m., that same night, a man, later identified as George Hernandez, was admitted into McAllen Medical Hospital with a bullet wound to his lower right leg.
Hernandez was uncooperative and stated he was possibly shot with an AK-47 but would not reveal any additional information on his injury.
