BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Brownsville police arrested a man after several complaints were made that he was using counterfeit money.
On Saturday, June 29, police officers, working security at the 77 Flea Market, detained Omar Trevino, 21, who is accused of using counterfeit $100 bills and purchasing items with the fake money.
Officers did find the Trevino in possession of several $100 dollar bills and he was taken into custody and admitted to receiving and using the counterfeit money.
Trevino was handed a $180,000 bond on nine counts of forgery.
