A 13 year-old boy in Texas is accused of murder. Police say he killed a 5 year-old in Fort Worth.
Jason Allen reports neighbors and their children have written cards to the family, offering their support.
In the backyard of a vacant home, police said a 13 year-old boy for some reason became irritated with a 5 year-old, so he hit him, police said.
He hit the boy multiple times in the head, investigators believe, killing him and left him in the grass under a tree.
"The doctor said somebody killed him. Somebody killed him."
Sida Osman's mother could only wipe away tears when she heard the news, Thursday.
She was scared, she said, for her other five children.
Sources described the 13 year-old suspect as small for his age and several community members said a bowling ball may have been involved in the crime.
Police wouldn't confirm the discovery, but in a written statement, Police Chief Jeffrey Halstead called it a."heinous, unthinkable crime."
"Sida, I miss you. That is sad. He is barely five years old. What he did so wrong?"
Children from the neighborhood flooded the family with cards and the whole community was looking for an explanation for the crime.
"We don't remember anything we've done to any of our neighbors or anybody. We are very shocked."
