WESLACO, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Some Weslaco parents are a little more tech-savvy after a bilingual tech fair on Wednesday.
The fair was held at Gonzalez Elementary. School officials had pre-K and kindergarten students work with iPads. They showed the parents how technology was being used and how it could improve their lives.
"Our purpose today was to inform parents that this can be done not only here at school, but everywhere," said Gonzalez Principal Lileana Rios. "Everywhere in the classroom, at home, on the way to somewhere, whether they're going to go to their grandparents' house or what not, basically education can happen 24/7."
