With the recent spike of home invasions in the upper Valley, the Hidalgo County Sheriff figured out a way for you, the homeowner, to be safer and protect yourself if you are ever a victim of a home invasion, Michelle Macias has the story from McAllen.
The program won't start until next year, but if you're interested in signing up, you need to own a gun, have no criminal history and have purchased your gun from a licensed gun dealer.
