HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — A San Benito man is arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police are called in reference to a disturbance in a residential neighborhood.
On Thursday, June 20, police were called to the area of Woodland and Tucker road about a man knocking on doors claiming he was being followed.
The responding officer located the man, later identified as Jason Robert Quintana, 34, in the 2500 block of Tucker Road.
During the officer's questioning, Quintana showed signs of intoxication and with his added paranoia state the officer determined that Quintana was a danger to himself and others and he was arrested for public intoxication.
While being processed in the jail officers found .2 gams of crack cocaine on Quintana and additional charged him with possession of a controlled substance.
