HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Harlingen police arrested a female after she trespassed into her ex-boyfriend's home and then became combative at a local hospital.
On Wednesday, June 19, around 1:30 a.m. officer were called to the 100 block of Maria Street in reference to a disturbance.
A person had reported that a female, later identified as Maria Myrna Zamora, 31, had entered her ex-boyfriend's home through a bedroom window, an argument had ensued and that Zamora was asked to leave the premises because she was intoxicated.
The responding officer searched the surrounding area and spotted a second female walking the streets, who stated that she was looking for her sister, Zamora.
The officer was directed to a residence on Ernestina Street, where Zamora's sister was asked to check to see if she was inside the home.
Zamora was found inside the home and arrested for trespassing, but was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a laceration on her chin. It is at the hospital that Zamora became belligerent and combative with the hospital staff that she had be handcuffed to the bed.
The arresting officer was informed that there was a U.S. Marshal's arrest warrant for parole violation out of New Mexico and Zamora was also charged with criminal trespassing.
