HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — An Immigration and Customs Enforcement airplane is forced to make an emergency landing in Harlingen.
A Valley International Airport spokesperson says the plane with 158 people on board took off from Harlingen around 11:15 a.m.
About 10 minutes into the flight, the pilot called into the control tower and told them he smelled something burning in the cockpit.
Valley International Airport spokesperson Jose Mulet stated, "they turned around and came back at that point the control tower calls the fire department, and the trucks go out and meet the aircraft, the plane was escorted and there was nothing everything was ok."
