AUSTIN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Governor Perry tells New York and Connecticut residents to get out before they go broke and move to Texas, via television and radio ads.
The radio ad will play on nine stations in New York City and Albany, building on the television ads airing on cable across Connecticut and New York this week.
The governor will also travel to the two states June 16 through June 20 to share the formula for Texas' successful job creation climate.
The ads, along with the governor's trip are paid for by TexasOne, a public private partnership, with no tax dollars being spent.
According to the Tax Foundation, Texas is one of the top 10 tax-friendly states, while New York ranks last.
In the ad, Perry states how Texas is number one for business, has no state income tax and has business-friendly regulations.
Texas was ranked #1 for business for the 9th straight year by Chief Executive Magazine, and has added more jobs than any state in the nation over the last five years.
