BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Brownsville ISD will be providing free meals to children in the city.
The Seamless Summer Option, a continuation of the National School Lunch Program, is being offered by the school district beginning June 10th and running through August 16th.
Children 18 years and younger will be able to receive a free breakfast and lunch with adults being able to purchase a breakfast meal for $2 and lunch for $3.25.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at designated dining areas located throughout the district.
Promotional banners will be displayed outside of designated dining sites and a food and nutrition service operator will be on staff to answer any questions regarding the program.
