San Juan, TX (News Center 23) — Hundreds of undocumented immigrants are in custody after San Juan Police raided a pair of stash houses.
San Juan Police got a call to a burglary early Tuesday morning and found more than a hundred people staying in a home.
Investigators spotted the ring leader and he led them to another stash house about 12 hours later. In all, 106 immigrants were found, including seven children between the ages of eight and 14 years old.
"I might think that we have enough time on our side, but somebody in their group is going to have to be accountable for what they lost, and we know that they have to show up sooner or later," said San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez. "Sometimes they want to know if law enforcement is the one that took their load."
