MCALLEN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — McAllen Mayor-elect Jim Darling proposes several city wide improvements, including some.. which could ease traffic congestion.
With interest rates so low the city may consider borrowing 20 to 25 million dollars to improve road projects.
Darling says some of those heavily congested roads includes bi-centennial and ware roads, along with FM 107. Assuming other elected officials agree, Darling says Mcallen will hold a voter referendum before borrowing the money.
