SAN JUAN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — A San Juan family is relocated after a threatening sign was left at their home.
We can't show you the sign because of graphic language, but it threatened the family living in the home to hand over half a million dollars or harm will come their way.
The home owner has faced drug charges in the past and police are investigating a connection to a notorious drug cartel.
San Juan Police Sgt. Rolando Garcia stated, "We're still trying to confirm that it was the Zetas, but we're following up with the owners to see who it was. He was involved with everything that is written on there is fairly accurate. The resident in 2010 was in fact the victim of a home invasion, it leads us to believe that it is something serious and we are following up with the owner to see who he was involved with."
